Hamann HM2, fake or not fake

HI,
I just got my Hamann HM2 rims today. I got the 19 x 8.5 rims. But, I was surprised to see that these were made in Italy. Aren't Hamann rims made in Germany? So everyone who has Hamann HM2 rims can you please inform me if my rims are fake or not? Thanks

Did you get a Hamann certificate? I thought your suppose to get that?

hamann wheels are made by OZ, which is in Italy. you got the real thing. THe WP Certificate doesnt mean crap. It just means u bought it from Wheel Power, the Exclusive Hamann Importer in the US, and not from Grey Markets. Its a piece of paper that costs you couple hundred dollars more than if w/o it.

What a relief that these aren't fake. I didn't know that Hamann are made by OZ in italy, so I guess these are of high quality if OZ makes them. Anyway thanks again for your info.

and the wheelspower certificate is total BS,
they are not the only importer

Yea I called Wheelpower the "exclusive distributor of Hamann rims" and they said they couldn't determine if the rims were authentic without the certificate of authenticity and that they were the only distributor of Hamann rims. I thought to myself that is impossible that wheelpower is the only distributor of Hamann rims. Anyway, I am glad my Hamann HM2 are not fake. I guess i got scared because I got such a great deal from the guys at wheelsboutique.com for my rims which is what made me worried a little about the authenticity. I also have to say that I had a great experience with wheelsboutique.com and they have the best prices around on all kinds of wheels. Ben, my salesman was very helpful and I recommend him to anyone who is looking to purchase any kinds of rims. Thanks again everybody for your info.
