V1-V3 were almost identical, early users used those names then to differentiate between the slight (mostly cosmetic) variations that happened in the first 3 production runs. V4 was a V3 with rubber knobs and came with LOCs included. So V1-V4 were pretty much the same model (called D30 by dynavin) and were produced from late 2009 to September of 2010.

V5 (D90) then came out in September of 2010 and has been in production until now, android option was added in march.

Now we are going into October 2011 and a new "V6" (D95) model is on its way.

How is this production schedule any different than every other similar product that has ever been made, Stereos, TVs, Cars, ipods, blenders, toothbrushes, sporks, its standard practice and always has been.

I totally agree with you, the only difference is most of the time, the other products are customer friendly or market ready. Most of the dynavin users would not survive a week without your help or firmware upgrades etc. Imagine if they would sell the early dynavin at bestbuy? I would have probably return it because of the clock no working properly lol. But in the end the dynavin is still our best option, and I hope I can get my hand on a v6. Are you gonna get big first batch or is gonna run short (out stock)

Im getting a big first batch but ive got an even bigger list.....so I think they will go fast....

I held off and waited until V4 so it had the rubber controls, I am still more than happy with mine, Does everything I need it to as opposed to what was in there as stock. Never had a single issue with it, I am not interested in going down the android path, if I want access to the net I just do it at home on my lappy. I don't care about fancy looking interfaces its not as if I am going to be staring at the display while I am driving. That's my 2 cents anyway.

Yeah sure i am also not looking my dynavin while i am driving but if you put a product on a market than it has to work with in normal standards.. like the ipod interface or the phonebook or the TMC.. But i feel they are trying to correct the defect and release a new version and the people they are having issues are forgetted because the focus is only bringing a new version out everytime.

Jeff, can you have the Dynavin people fix the skins on the CD page and the SD card page for the v6. The other pages all look nice with the dark background and yellow lettering, but these 2 pages are too bright and look out of place. Do you agree?

Also, do you think we could see a Dynavin with an optical digital out?

One other question, can the Dynavin receive HD Radio? And if so how would this be done?

Honestly I am dumbfounded some times, actually quite a lot reading the Dynavin forums

Jeff, I've just changed the LEDs on my dash to pink, ya reckon you can get Dynavin to match the colour??
Also, I reeeaaally like the new Aston Martin nav display it's fantastic and works really well, so much better than the Dynavin, jeez I mean if Aston Martin can do it why can't Dyanvin???
I'm thinking maybe Dynavin can make it the same as the Aston's in a future firmware update, I think they should do it if they really care for their customers, i mean come on I've spent a whopping $700 and i reckon I deserve life time personalised support.

1) doubtful, i hear you about wanting them to match but I think they look fine in person, about 1000% improvement over the similar screens on the outgoing units. But that's a matter of taste.

Darkoz has been doing this dynavin stuff as long as I have....he hasn't always been a "professional dick" but he has grown tired of answering the same questions hundreds of times.....and somewhere around the 200th time he answered "will my steering wheel controls still work", something snapped and.....

thats actually a pretty comprehensive video, if you wondered how a dynavin works, this video shows almost everything.
