We are in the process of adding additional cooling kits that are a more complete refresh to our website. The total refresh (complete) kits will included all the parts mentioned.

sounds like a good plan to me. Maybe you could incorporate some kind of option check list where people can decide what to add by just ticking boxes.

ECS,
What parts are "different" in the Level 1 package? I know the more expensive system is OEM BMW, but what brand do you get for the parts in the ECS brand system? Ready to order... Thank you, |

Remember, OEM parts are the same as Behr, Hella, Whaler, etc. The only reason they cost more is because of a BMW stamp. Shop wisely.

Does the Geba water pump have a composite impeller?
Edit: Photos look like a metal impeller Last edited by DetroitEE; 10-04-2011 at 11:10 AM. |

Warning about the water pump stud bolts. They break pretty easily. I thought it was the torque wrench releasing, but it was actually the aluminum bolts/studs breaking. I was was able to back them out with a pair of Vice Grips-thankfully there was enough room to grab the remaining stub.
After more research, it appears the OEM numbers are 07129901921 or M6X30-8.8-ZNS. Anyone know of alternate sources to buy them? I'd prefer something more substantial than the OEM aluminum (?) ones. --Other than that the project is going fine... B-] It appears ECS Tuning might have them: Mfg Part#07129904544, ECS Part# ES16061 @ $1.04/ea. Trying to verify with them now. Last edited by ELCID86; 10-08-2011 at 12:42 PM. Reason: update |

^Correct the original part number (07129901921) for the stud bolt has been superseded to the one found here. They are the genuine BMW part not an aftermarket equivalent.

I can say good things about the geyba water pump and ECS, both are awesome the metal impaler is much more of a peace of mind than the poop plastic one on the OEM pump I pulled out... Car is running perfect, well, after I blew up my OEM water pulley and had to rush to BMW before closing to get another lol! ECS aluminum one is on my list as well as a new radiator seeing as i have a small crack. So... look forward to hearing from me again soon ECS
