I do, a lot of people are here don't simply because they don't know much about it and if you're not squatting heavy weight you must be a pvssy.

It's a great workout. You will not look like a body builder (obviously) but you will cut a sh1t load of fat and most likely build some muscle if you're getting back into working out after a long break.

Some of the p90x workouts will make a regular gym session most people do look easy.

I think it's great depending on your goals. If you want to lean out a bit and get in better shape it's great.

yeah it will lean you out. but you will lose strength imo. i did it for a little and my strength went down. but i could definitely do a lot more reps of bodyweight stuff after. id tell you to do crossfit stuff over that any day though

Now you're just putting words in peoples' mouths. No one is denying it works, you just won't get big from it - it will cut fat, but you'll need to work low rep high weight to get that muscle back.

I think I want a lot more definition now and some size.

Thanks for posting guys.
I'm in the exact same situation, soccer and all.

+1 Rich, you've always been a wealth of knowledge and inspiration.

Hopefully I'll be able to post up in here soon. I've always been iffy about going shirtless though as I had weight issue while growing up.

first pic was bout 5 years ago when I was in shape between 190-205, but over the last couple years I got fat 210 and I hadn't seriously worked out in 3+ yes consistently I don't hv any good pics from then cuz I guess I didn't wanna take any lol so I decided to diet and drink alot of water starting around may at 210 , second pic is somewhere around 180-190 in June or so, and last pic was a few weeks ago I'm currently at 160 and I hvnt done any cardio or weight training at all just diet n water infect the last month in a half I havnt even done that just energy drinks and whatever foods around. il try to find a fat pic. total loss so far is roughly 50lbs just goes to show you how important diet is, I wanna start lifting again get back to a solid 180ish but I dunno pretty lazy these days

I know what you mean though, I'm the same way. Those childhood insecurities still mess with me till this day.

Thanks guys

I had handkerchiefs or something stuffing my shirt in the 9 year old pic (if that wasn't obvious). The 9 and 21 pics are in front of the same window at my parents' old house.

I'm not in my vest shape right now - commuting a minimum of 2.5 hours daily is putting a damper on my ability to eat and exercise the way I prefer. Moving soon though, and thinking about competing in 2012 in men's physique just for kicks. Attached is a picture from Sunday's Bears/Packers game.

I can always tell when someone is in the gym working all muscle groups by their trap definition. GL on the Mens Physique, I think you'll do well.

Finally hit 175lbs today, from 165 after my eye surgery. Much more work to be done, but progress is progress.

Thanks! Yea I'm 5'10. I'm wanting to get back to 185 by January, then 190-195 by March. I've never been passed 185 so it will be uncharted territory after that lol. Nice work on your weight loss btw!
