E46 Headlamp reminder buzzer failure

Hi,
Does any one know where is the location of the E46 Headlamp "reminder buzzer" in E46 330i, this is a buzzer to remind you when your headlamp is still on when you unplugged the key. I dismantled the speedometer, and dismantled the driver side drawer ; look up into the steering shaft all the way to the left side, cannot find it, can anyone help please? I want to replace the parts. My Serial number is E46 NF00392, I cannot find in any diagram in realoem.com

Thanks and regards,

I'm assuming you do not have automatic lights.

Do you have any buzzer at all? If not, you'll need to check exactly where that buzzer is. To be honest, I don't know. I feel like it'd be part of the instrument cluster, or maybe even in the steering column itself.

there's a beep noise. no buzzer as far as i know on the e46. i know they buzzed on earlier models like the e30.
anyway it's under the dash by your feet. you'll need to look straight up to see it. it looks like a speaker, sorta

when you have the key in the 1st position it should make a beep noise too. this is coming from the same thing.

Headlamp reminder buzzer [dismantle Dash photos] need for help!!

I just dismantle the dash board and driver side drawer and driver lower dash cover again, and I completely dismantle the odometer, but cannot find any buzzer or any speaker devices, can any one help. The local parts seller quote me the parts for 50 UK pounds for the buzzer but he did not tell me the position, I can't install it even if I bought a new one? Any one has an idea?

See all photo attached.

Dude you took a picture directly of it!!
You did all that crazy work when I told you EXACTLY where it is.
Look at the picture you posted that says obdII and other connections. See that little cover that looks like it could cover a speaker to the right? That's it.

Alright. And btw euro coded cars don't have the beep noise I don't believe. So it's possible it's your coding and not a lack of an actual speaker.

im 100% on this, the speaker is mounted on the speedo cluster motherboard, its the black cylinder with the little hole on top, if yours does not work, its because yours is programmed that way, and the only way to get it to be on, BMW has to reprogram your car to have the chime on. here is a pic that i edited and circled the part.

E46 Heallamp reminder buzzer help!

Hi, thanks all.

I dismantled the lower dash again, and it seems the round shape speaker stuff does not have any device in it, I peel off the trim, it just a has die-cut dash line preset for other for computers connections, may be ODB I or CAN BUS [may be for other countries][I don't know], It seems to be a integrated part of the plastic trim and did not have any sign of modifications or alternation, drill, break, but just a part of the whole plastic lower dash trim. . Please take a look on the picture.

On the Dash Board, please take a closer look of the picture of the right side of the dash speedometer circuit board picture that I taken earlier, mark [B], But I search real OEM and parts suppliers they don't sell individual components for speedometers, but instead he quote a parts for buzzer for headlamp reminder/door on for 50 UK pounds, so it must be somewhere else, I think it may be inside the speedometer, because speedometer they don't sell individual parts inside it. Let's take a look on the picture.

E46 Heallamp reminder buzzer help!

This is a closer look of the speedometer dismantle I did earlier, but the part suppliers said they does not sell individual component for speedometer inside of it, but they do sell the parts call buzzer for headlamp reminder and door dime sound for 50 UK pounds.

Try removing your outside temperature sensor , dash should read -40C and should beep.

If no beep then beeper might be broken.
