LED tailights adapter cable wanted.

I've recently bought some (a pair actually) OEM LED tail-lights. The connector is different to the 3 bulb style lights originally on my car. The LED lights came with short tails and I have pushed the wires into the old connectors and all seems fine. (dash globe failure indicators aside). GT1 Next thing to sort.

There is an adapter cable available from BMW which has the mating connectors for the old and new style tail-lights on a short lead. An adapter. My local dealer says these have to come from the fatherland at around $70+ each? I don't like being gouged so before I cut, solder and heat-shrink the factory harness can these adapters be obtained elsewhere.

My 3 bulb tail lights only have 5 wires in the connector - the LEDS have 6. The extra wire lights up the peripheral LEDS only. Some sort of DRL I gather. Can I use this?
