Dexter: Season 6

ITT nerds are going crazy for the hot new nerd in Dexter. You guys are just like Masuka lol

I think she'll turn out to be a killer, and Dexter catches her. I just hope the hand stuff doesn't re-open the case and Dexter becomes a suspect.

Interesting episode last night. Didn't really understand the Quinn/Batista smoking scene, was expecting more from the whole Masuka's assistant and the ice truck killer hand story line, and it seems like they're moving fast with this whole 'Doomsday killers' thing

I definitely thought there was going to be more of a story line w/ Masuka's assistant...seemed like they just killed it off and was her just needing money, maybe they'll come back with it though

I still can't decide yet if the Professor is alive or just a part of Travis's (Colin Hanks) sub conscious much like the way Harry is to Dexter. When watching it other people never acknowledge him, just Travis...like when he first talked to the waitress and she refilled his glass. And then when she was tied up in the house she looked at him like he was a crazy bipolar motherfvcker, not remembering that he had tied her up...thinking the professor did it.

Really liked this episode though, think it was probably one of the few where Dexter doesn't kill someone. Interested to see where they take it.

Agree to EVERY point made... The smoking provided no character development, the assistant turn was totally lame (and a waste of what could have been a fun plot line), and the doomsday puzzle is already getting pieced together... in the third/fourth episode of the season, dexter has already seen the killer? WTF

Between episodes of Dexter, I have been watching Six Feet Under, Michael Hall's last TV series. Brilliant to say to the least.

+1, didn't even thought about that. They did discuss last episode how Dexter thought two people could be involved though because of the difference in the cuts to the bodies

Yeah i noticed that bit too...and just figured it was Travis's mind envisioning those things. Maybe it is different than the connection Dexter has with Harry; Dexter knows that Harry is dead and just a "figure" to guide him, not in the pysical form. Maybe it is that Travis isn't able to grasp onto the reality that the Professor is dead, and still believes that he is alive...but in reality it is just himself doing all these things, split personality -- Me, Myself and Irene type situation for not being able to remember his own actions.

I think this just plays into the fact that there are "two" different people committing these crimes. You have Travis on the one side, following the orders he believes the professor is giving to him (the brawn if you will) while there is the Professor mentality who is calculating and precise with his actions (the brains)...and together it is one person.

i'm starting to become annoyed with how much of superhuman serial killer dexter is. im not sure if it was like this in previous seasons (i.e. i just never noticed) or if it's just gotten worse, but dexter has practically developed some kind of sixth sense where he always knows what a fellow killer is thinking with unrealistic accuracy.

there could have been any number of explanations behind the sloppy way the bodies were taken apart in the last episode, but he automatically suspected that there were two people at work. then he comes out the greenhouse and instantly notices one of the killers and makes the correct assumption that he's one of them. kinda annoying imo.

also, how did his son get so old? isnt he only supposed to be about 2 years old right now? why is he already looking for a preschool?

My guess is the old man was Hank's teacher, he mentored him for a while and Hank's killed him. Because they said he's been missing 3 years, MPD looks for this old man and Dexter kills Hank's because they never find out about him because they look for the old man.

Hanks killing the professor could be an interesting plot line for them. One way or another MPD is definitely going to fvck it up as usual and it'll come down to Dexter in the end. This new detective though seems to know his stuff, he'll prolly be the one to "almost" catch Dexter this season and possibly give away his secret.

I'm curious if this will be one of the last two seasons...either end with this one or close it with Dexter getting caught and them going after him in S07. I'd read where Michael Hall and showtime were having trouble negotiating the contract for next season

He's got a creative mastermind of a genius as a father...I think it is safe to assume he's ahead of the learning curve a bit.

That episode was pretty good. I was sad when mos def got shot
