So I installed my set. they xenons look great!
I am having issues with leveling, however. The two headlights look like an X they way the pattern is coming off, rather than a straight line. Any one have insight? Here is a picture:

All fixed guys! I am happy with it. Though, I will be doing some tweaking left and right. Quick question: I noticed the light output doesnt go out very far left or right on the side of the road. Is this simply due to the size of the MH1s? If i went FX-R would the pattern be larger and more broad? Pics of the current: ![]() ![]() ![]()

Question to those who have done this retro-fit and have angel eyes installed.
I am looking at orion lites by umnitza : http://www.umnitza.com/index.php?mai...oducts_id=5686 I am going to get the angel eyes first and go for the retro fit with h1s. Which ones should I order? angel eyes for halogens or xenon/bi-xenon? I drive 01 325CI if that matters.

Saw a thread on hidplanet about 55watt eBay ballasts being used in the mini h1and the OP claims they are the cause for reflecting material peeling off inside the projector.

Projectors are amazing
Although I had trouble putting on the shrouds. Great DIY . Also I did not have to take apart my headlight to mount my projectors. ! Quick question. Why does the light flicker ? Is it the bulbs or ballast ?

After about a month with this setup I am noticing that I am getting a lot of flickering while the car is running, but when the lights are on and the car is off there is no flickering at all.
Also, my right side cutoff is turning yellow rather than the nice blue it has been before. (See pictures above) Whats going on here? I have a relay installed (the 9006 from TRS) and it still flickers. It also tells me I have a bulb out on the side the relay IS hooked up to. Ill get some pictures of the new cutoff tonight.

I need to do this i have the whole kit with fogs that have been sitting in a box for like 6 months lol.
Edit maybe i will try to swap over oem xenons to the good holders and put my kit projectors into the high beam side// the oem's might not look too pretty but i plugged them in and they worked and only cost me 20.00ea at the junkyard that i go to lol.

Thinking about doing this! Great thread. I've been doing some research and found that the XB35 bulb sold by TRS has the best light output out of all the H1 bulbs currently available, It's light output was tested to be the same if not better than the Philips D2S, which is commonly used as an OEM bulb. The only drawback being that it puts off more UV radiation which can arguably cause damage to headlight components, e.g. projector bowls, lenses, etc...Has anyone used this bulb? If so have you noticed any degradation of headlight/projector parts? I'm leaning towards this bulb but don't want to pay $70 just to find out it is going to ruin my headlight setup in the long term.
