My Ride: 2003 330i ZHP
Fitment: 245/40/18 et 20 on ZHP

I've done some research but wanted to double check with more knowledgeable members before I pull the trigger on a set of winter wheels/tires for my ZHP.

I'm looking at picking up a set of 18x8 et20 wheels with 245/40/18 tires on them. I have stock ride height and a sedan. From my understanding these wheels will fit front and back if I run a 20mm spacer all the way around...or maybe a 20mm up front and a 25mm spacer in back.

Anyone with experience please chime in with assistance. These wheels were run on an e60 so trying to figure out what needs to be done (if possible) to tmake them work. Thanks.

no, if you run 20mm spacers you'll be at ET0 that means your wheels will stick out like a jeep wrangler.
You should be fine with 18x8 and no spacers at ET20, especially with stock ride height.

basically forget the spacers stuff, et20 is plenty aggressive and spacers make that worse.

Also, 245 on a 8" wheel is a bit much, not sure if youre doing that for the snow, but it look more for 225, or 215s with that 8" rim, that will assure you clear the fenders and fit.

Thanks for the quick reply and setting me straight. I'm assuming he had the wider tires due to either the snow like you said or the fact they were on an e60. Thanks again.

theyre prolly OE wheels. dunno, but 245 is a bit mch for a 8" tire, unless its one of them thinner brand tires.
i remember when i had 245 on my 8.5" rims, it was just right.

Anyway, im no snow driving pro, but i was told in snow, thinner is better for traction.
In your case with an aggressive offset, thinner tires will curve in (stretch a tad, just a tad) and clear the fender should the suspension compress fully. AND give you good grip in the snow.
