they dont make NC/VC portra anymore...it's just portra but apparently its closer to NC from what i was told. i just picked up that 5 pack from BH for like $30 shipped. pretty good deal considering i was buying them by the roll at samy's for like $7

Sometimes CVS has a sale on their color film (24exp) which is just rebranded Fuji for $1/roll.

Got my M3 today. Here it is with my MP

I'll be sending it off in the morning to be overhauled. After all, it is 50 years old. I think it's due for a little TLC!

Here's one from my first roll through the SQ-A. I'm not all that hyped on it because I didn't have time to get set up like I would have wanted due to a rapidly setting sun. Not to mention, I took it to Ritz Camera to get developed and they did a HORRIBLE job. I've never seen such dirty negatives

Anyway, it felt good to be shooting MF again and I'll have more to post in the near future.

SQ-A
80mm PS lens
3 x Sb-24s
Portra 160

So I decided to bring my film camera with me over the weekend and I loved not having to worry as much about knocking it around. When I'm carrying my DSLR I feel obligated to be gentle, not the case with film. I also love how much lighter it is. Can't wait to get the shots developed and see how they turn out.

i actually like the size of it. im really used to the size of my d700 with the grip on it and my film camera just feels so small and strange in my hands. i know the f5 is super heavy and all but that doesnt bother me. plus i like the portrait shutter button...ive never liked shooting portrait without a grip on my digital cameras...

You're going to love it! That was my workhorse back in the day. All of my old 35mm skate stuff on Flickr was shot with an F5.

It's a perfect size for someone used to a D700 with a grip, and if I my memory serves me, it's actually a tad lighter than a gripped D700.
