320DMAN Registered User Join Date: Oct 2011 Location: CAERNARFON Posts: 1 My Ride: BMW 320D SALOON View My Garage	New Member Greetings everyone, I have a 53 plate 320d saloon, 6 speed manual which has done a 109k.Bought it a few weeks ago.I am aware of the swirl flap problem and ordered blanking plates and a crankshaft breather for the car.My mechanic did the work on the car and found that two of the swirl flaps had broken off and lodged themselves and luckily they hadn't fallen into the engine !! What a relief and glad that i decided to do this to the car or i would probably be needing a new engine by now so used this site to do a little research on swirl flaps which seem to be a big problem on BMW diesel cars.
