<FS> AST 4100 Coilover kit, freshly rebuilt!

I have an AST 4100 coilover kit here from a customer who upgraded to 4200's. This is E46 fitment including M3. We completely rebuilt all the dampers, they are fresh. Before the rebuild they had approximately 8k miles on them, mostly street, some track use. He asked us to rebuild them so he knew they would be like new for sale. We also changed them over to synthetic fluid as all current builds are. They have no time on them since the rebuild. He does not belong to any forums so he asked me to post them here for him.

They can be had in the following configurations at the following price, plus shipping from 48375:

1. Full kit including front/rear dampers, all height adjusters, Vorshlag camber/caster plates with 60mm spring perches, front/rear springs (we have several sets of used springs you can choose from), does NOT include any rear shock mounts, he kept those.....$1825

2. Above minus camber/caster plates and front upper spring perches.....$1525

3. Number 1 above minus springs......$1625

4. Number 2 above minus springs......$1325

He is advertising them locally as well so this is first come with cash first served, no dibs.

Thanks.

They are fabulous on the track. I've driven many different cars with many different suspension set ups....pretty much any Koni or Bilstein off the shelf set up. They are not even close in performance. These have 12 positions of adjustment and each position is exact and discrete with a detent. It will not take even an intermediate driver long to be able to feel a difference from one position to the next, each click is noticeable, period.

Soften them up and they are very comfortable on the street. They are worlds above twin tube set ups on the street, not harsh and they can handle more spring and yet still remain comfortable. I have 4100's on my E46 and for a time I'd switched to Bilstein HD's and stock springs....the 4100's with 400/500 and camber plates were MUCH better riding, even my wife commented that the car felt harsh with the Bilsteins....so I went back and she was happy that I "fixed" it.

You won't be disappointed that's for sure.

Cheers.

GLWS - I have the Vorshlag AST setup. They are simply amazing. On the street they are very compliant for coilovers. Another nice thing about Vorshlag coilovers is you don't need adjustable front links. As you can see the link connection is threaded. So thats a hidden 100 savings in there.
