a private m3 e46 racing team neeed help :)

It's about time to take our track driving to next level so I and some friends have decided to race this season. We will take part in VLN, an endurance race cup on Nürburgring in Germany. In total there will be 10 races, 4h and 6h from April to October and if budget permits we will also take part in 24 Hours race there in June
We will race with an E46 M3 that has been modified to a race car.
The target weight is 1200 kg and we are aiming at about 390 hp.

The car has been tuned by Kelleners Sport, have brakes from StopTech, seats from Recaro, tires from Dunlop and it looks like we will be using rims from ATS or BBS. Suspension is a modified Bilstein PSS9 at the moment but might be from Öhlins or KW when it's time for the first race. Cage, fire extinguisher system, emergency power switch, six-point harness is also installed in the car.

The car will have a logging and telemetry system based on the CAN bus, GPRS and WLAN. Intercom and radio communication system will also be used.

The team so far consists of:
Johan Nimmersjö
Peter Gutniak
Jonathan Petterson
Phil Bennett
James Whelan
Jens Edman
Edward Sandström

Tuning will be carried out by Kelleners Sport and maintenance, repairs and pit service will be carried out by Ring-racing. Ralf Kelleners and the Kleen brothers from Ring-Racing act as our technical advisors.

Our sponsors so far are:
Böhm und Kelleners
Dunlop
Kelleners Sport
Recaro
StopTech
Our employers

If you want to take part in any way or contribute somehow, please contact me on info@schwedenkreuz.se

More info and pictures will follow shortly.

Cheers,
/Johan throu Costas

Thought I'd post an update.

We will not use ATS rims, BBS is most likely.
We now have Sabine Schmitz, the famous Ring Taxi driver, in our team too.
Here's a video of me following her when she drives the Ring-taxi: http://defense.nu/M3_Ring_Taxi.zip
Click the link and choose "Save" , you can not "right click" it and choose "save as".

You can find som pics of the car here: http://www.schwedenkreuz.se/bilder.htm
Most of them are a bit old but I hope to have some new pictures up soon.
Here are some more video clips: http://www.schwedenkreuz.se/film.htm

We don't have a english translation yet but we hop to have that ready by Mondayr or Tuesday.

Cheers,
/Johan

Indeed!
Although we still need to raise a bit of sponsor money before 24h.
Anyway she will drive some races with us in VLN and we can offer passenger laps with her in the race car.

Here's some more info on VLN, 24h and Nürburgring:
