How much is my car worth?

After a quick glance on Carsales, I've noticed the big price drop in e46's which got me thinking how much my car is now worth. I couldn't get a true approximation on Carsales as my car is manual. This is just out of curiosity and not an indication of me selling the car.

Here's some details of the car:
- 2002 model (prefacelift) 325i m sports
- 97,000kms
- manual
- m-tech I kit
- carbon looking cubed trim
- alcantara interior
- sports seats
- 6 cd stacker
- paint in excellent condition (could always give it another cut and polish for an immaculate finish)

nb: the passenger SRS light is on

Thanks guys!

it's got an 'individual' badge on it too. not sure what relevance that has?

A few pics of your car would really be helpful.

I got $35K as a trade-in on my 2004 M3 (150K Km) so I'd say around $10K-$12K trade-in, $15K-$19K private.

Yeah even though it is pretty rare, only a person who wants and individual type of car will go for this. Most people these days buying E46's tend to be the younger generation due to the cars now affordability and they'll more likely go for the latest nicer looking (facelift/mtech2/leather/nav/tv/xenon) cars. So when it comes time to sell, just remember that the average person may not offer that much, but if your willing to wait, there is always a buyer for everything and the person who really wants a car like this will eventually come along, it just may take a while. Just look at the advice we give to new guys on here who are looking to buy their first bimmer.

Even if we determine how much it is worth now, it will not be the same in mid 2012

Yea exactly, it sounds like the F30 will be out in early 2012, and soon after that a heap of E9x cars will be traded, sold, and moved on, which will push E46 prices further down.

wow considering the retail prices of our cars, it seems like a real bargain for what you get! if only cars weren't a depreciative asset
