New gun

hi all, this is my first time posting in the gun forum.

I recently attended the Florida gun show and after loosing my previous fire arm (Colt Commander//my house was burglarized and it was no longer were I kept it) earlier this year... I bought a "cheap" Smith and Wesson Sigma sw9ve. For the price, im sure its a popular gun. Does anyone here have it? Care to give me some pointers on how this particular gun shoots? I am going shooting with it this friday.

best
gabe.

Edit: just read through this forum, and on here everyone believes is a POS gun lol for me

Grasp handle firmly, keep strong shoulder rolled back, twist arm back, and throw. Preferably into a refuse container.
There's a reason why it's so cheap. You went from an X5 4.6is to a taco truck.
Get another Colt. Great guns.

Leave your doors open and hope it will disappear as well.
At least whoever end up using it won't kill anybody because he can't hit where he aims at.
Unlike your previous contribution to the underground market.

Jon Jon will chime in as soon as he finishes faping.

My father has one. After shooting my M&P 9mm and then shooting that, I wanted to hurl. The trigger felt godawful heavy and had an odd break to it. It was something like...

EaaaassssyyyyWTFWHYISTHISGETTINGDIFFI-BANG!

Besides the cheap feel, I couldn't get it to jam up, it was reasonably accurate, easy to disassemble, and looks decent, but I personally wouldn't purchase one myself. The ergonomics for the slide release lever were terrible. I was always scared my thumb was going to get caught between the frame and the slide since it was so flat.

Why get a Glock knock-off? It's not like a G17 or G19 is expensive...

The S&W felt more comfortable in my hand than a Glock could ever dream of being. Sure, it was still hard plastic and not all that great, but it just felt better to the shape of my hand.

Fixed.

My father was kicking himself for not buying the M&P after he shot mine.

shot with it, and a modified glock 34. I obviously like the glock but I also like mine a lot. I like the thicker handle (compared to glock) and I was able to shoot the same accuracy in both guns. It does weigh more than the glock but nothing crazy. The trigger (which was modified on the glock) was more defined than the S&W but overall it wasnt something that bothered me or felt cheap.

A lot of people I know experienced ago trendiest heavy trigger pull, but we found that there are some trigger kits that smooth out and shorten an lighten the trigger pull.. I personally don't like them but they are affordable an designed just like the glock. I'd just swap it out for an m&p if I were going to stick with S&W
