Get one, you'll love it. I've got a Quaife in a 3.15, works like a million bucks. No noises, no upkeep, but Posi traction all day long. One of my top 3 favorite mods.

Do they have anything for M3 spec diffs? I'm running a stock 3.62 LSD on my 330, but my build could massively benefit from a customized 3.15-3.23 ratio M3-spec diff.

yup, put mine in last April; works perfect. No noise whatsoever and really helps put the power down. It's also got a lifetime warranty!
I've never felt a quaife so I can't comment on the compairison. Anuk, I haven't seen them sell anything for M3 spec; but eitherway this is only the internal unit - doesn't include the gearset. I don't think I've seen anyone run a 3.15-3.23 gearset in an M3 diff... generally people go up to a 3.91 or 4.10 if anything Last edited by Michel; 11-08-2011 at 12:33 PM. |

nope, got it installed at my shop. Apparently it wasnt too bad, shims/gaps are all stock spec according to wavetrac and everything just fit in. I put in new bearings as well since i was in there.

Spoke to them at SEMA, was asking about the use of this design in drifting, and they said they'd have to create a custom lockup for it to work as well as a traditional clutch style LSD. Seems like a deal @ $1250 though.

I've almost saved enough for this unit, but I haven't found a mechanic that has built an LSD on any car, much less on a BMW. Instructions anywhere?

Yeah, its tough to do and lots of mechanics has never done a diff rebuild before. I called a trusted source who races their BMW's and a BMW shop, they said they usually outsource the diff builds to diffsonline.
