The interface looks Brilliant!
I can't wait for this to be available and order it.
To be honest I was actually going to read up more on the D95 when I came across this.

Expect the first of them around the end of the year, until then let's try to keep the speculation nonsense to a minimum. (I know this will not happen but I have to try...)

I will of course post when there is some real info and real units.

Reall ythe point of the thread was to raise awareness because I was just about to sell my D90 and buy the D95 but
now I will await the D99.

Sorry, my post wansnt aimed at you, it was a preemptive post about the 50 pages of speculations, misinformation, flame wars, etc... that are about to happen....before the product is even released.

Speculation is fun. I'll go first.

Do we think the OBC section uses generic OBC information from the IBUS (By the same method the Intravee can use to pull coolant temp etc) or is it a link to the additional output provided by an E39's High OBC or an E46 usually displayed on the Nav Computer?

Any idea why so long to wait Jeff? The D95's were in stock soon after the announcement, and it cannot be because they want to run down D95 stock first, given that the D95 is remaining in production as an Eco model.

Takes time to produce package and ship, plus dynavin makes VW, Mercedes, and Audi models as well. The BMW units are not scheduled for production until mid December.

I guess that means we can watch the Audi and VW owners find all the bugs before deciding whether to order one of the first of the BMW batch..

Effectively then it isnt going to be until next year, given the Christmas holidays...

hi this new Platform looks awesome i preordered one imidiatly for roundabout 830Euro.
The D99 comes with parrot-bluetooth chip which is superbe

How nice of them, they finally add phone contact list support but you'll be paying extra for the privilage.

this is not the only thing new, new also mfd/ki support (mercedes w203), radio dualtuner

^ I think all most if not all of the issues I had with the D90 will
be fixed with this unit.

Very excited to see the new interface in action, the OBC, the radio reception, the parrot chip.

My D90 is getting pulled out this weekend as somone has already baught it!
Car is going away for the winter, so I am not really concerned about missing it!

Any word on XM/Sirius or HD radio capability?

subbing for more news as this will be on the top of my list for installs over the winter storage months

how is the PDC possible?

You can read PDC data from the IBUS - Intravee can do it. If they've managed to get into the IBUS then in theory you can write something that will change the display dependant on the readings from the PDC.

Nice, I guess I'll keep enjoying myD90 fand wait for the d99 instead of the d95. I don't wan't to make the same mistake twice lol. D99 lol friking awesome! Album Art!! and OBD fucntions!!

If this new model could cure cancer that would be great... Could they add usb ultra sound support? That would be really handy in an accident...

Hrm, this looks promising. I might have to sell my V5 and hitup Jeff for another new Dynavin when this comes out... :p

I really wish they would support sat radio directly though.
