so how are ppl developing the photos in this thread? personal dark rooms? a store?

I feel developing is half of the photo process (talking about getting them developed at a store).

costco. 5 bucks. hahaha

its cheap and a lot of the scans have scan lines ill have to pshop out....most of the film ive been shooting is just random stuff so it doesnt bother me that much. plus its a 1 hr turnaround. if i ever shoot something that ill for sure want quality scans ill just take it to samys and pay a little more.

I need a new carry-around film camera. The light leaks in my FE2 are starting to bother me.

EV, how big is the AF Nikon body that you're shooting with? I want something small, light, and discreet.

Here's two recents:

Thanks for the pic! That looks a little bigger than what I'm after. I may just send my FE2 in or pick up another one on the cheap. BTW, I have that 24mm as well. For the price, that thing rocks

Does it have to be an SLR or are you open to some other cameras? During the 90's, a lot of the film P&S cameras had really exceptional lenses and since they are so small, they are great to carry around with you.

The Fuji Natura, Nikon 35ti, Ricoh GR1/GR21, Leica Minilux are all amazing cameras, albeit a little bit expensive. There are some cheaper alternatives though, like the Contax T2.

Just some ideas for you...

Thanks man! I'll look into them
The only thing that bothers me about P&S is that I don't have control over the exposure and DOF.

Edit: It appears that some of these do have an aperture mode.

Yup, it depends on the camera. The Ricoh, for example, is Aperture Priority, but also has EV (+/-2) control, which is a really nice feature for a P&S camera.

For your style, I think a Ricoh GR21 would be great. It has the widest lens of any P&S camera (21mm)!!

Sometimes was just not enough... Shooting fashion. F5 is an ICON among Nikon guys, sold mine along with my backup F100 for the D2Xs. Same time sold my Blads so needed trade money for new equip.
Most pros will not sell their F5s. Let me put it this way, most NIKON guys think that anything with an F is a piece of Art.
We make good money with old iron, never problems, day after day, no matter what the assignment.
I like what I read about film, Iam VPS160(stop using Kodak when that crap portra came out, went on to Fuji), VPH400, Kodakchrome25,etc etc.
Great work guys

One of these is a repost from the architecture thread. Sorry, if that is frowned on. :-)

The color were probably Kodak Ektar 25, and the B&W was Tri-x or T-Max. I'd have to go home and dig out the negatives to be sure.
