I had the uuc tse3 on my 330i but I had headers! Loudest Exhaust I've ever heard but sounds really good with the stock headers. I'd deff buy it again.

Did it drone for you and was it quiet when idling and at streets?

With headers it was a pretty loud idle, really low toned and super raspy at WOT but with stock headers it was awesome! No drone at all it sounded like a factory sport exhaust and a bit on the loud side at WOT but it was a nice sound, but if your thinking of doing headers anytime this isn't the exhaust you really want simply because at wot it's ridiculous! Wish I could upload some clips from my iPhone but I can't. If you have texting and you really wanna know how it sounds shoot me a pm I'll send you some sound clips

Wow that does sound nice, would you say the video sounds almost like it or is it alot louder in real life?

I'm just trying to find a exhaust that sounds pretty quiet (not prius quiet) but quiet like stock exhaust and loud and race like when I feel like driving fast. Dont really want to be attracting the attention of cops when Im driving around the city getting from A to B. |

That vid. is with headers. It will be a little quieter with stock exhaust. But after an hour at the track, it did get a little louder from then on. I do really like the the Magnaflow #16533.

the above describes my dinan muffler. beyond 3500 it's loud!
a question: will removing the resonator/s help the flow or just make it louder? thanks

UUC TSE3 cat back was loud (on the edge of too loud) with stock restrictive headers. Change to Magnaflow cat headers overwhelmed the UUC system with huge increase in exhaust pressure/volume and it sounded like there was no muffler at all!! I had to make a quick muffler swap with another forum member to get the sound back to reasonable. Converged resonators and mufflers (rather than single dedicated ones like UUC) really help the sound. My next step will be a pieced-together Magnaflow 3" single exhaust that hopefully will improve the flow while keeping the sound, drone and rasp to a minimum.

OP, Did you lose the exhaust you have? I still have mine after 225K miles.
You kids keep needing to replace things that you'd have if you kept as good track of things as I do. Anyway, I wasn't happy with the sound my car was making, so I rigged up a microphone near the exhaust. When it sounds too weak to me, I just turn on the radio and crank it. The sound vibrations along add hp; I don't know how many, but think a lot! You could probably just play a tape of some exhaust you like. Maybe Rob would give you copyright license to copy his and play it in your car whenever you want. You know you have parts that will create serious issues if they fail...you have the money for them I hope. I've got a list about $1,000 worth of parts that I bet most new owners need. Just make sure the car runs properly before buying things you don't really need. Oh, I'm old...my excuse for sounding like maybe something else!

No, I was thinking more along the lines of that he probably needs a new cooling system, or at least WP and therm and belts and ET...he probably needs to flush and fill every fluid on his car; change fuel/air filters and plugs; new CABs; clean icv and tb; fix his oil leaks at vcg/ofhg; his ccv will fail in 27 days...and he's looking for a different sound.
Your car could be very quiet if you listen only to the exhaust and not the thing that makes the exhaust.
