WARN is the best brand out there, get a bumper with winch protection..you'll need it soon, trees are not very friendly...

just for the mix, and please do not take me wrong, I love the Jeep - I would have one in a heart beat...

what about a Land Rover Defender - they are pretty tough and rugged too similar style and lines?

I would never buy a land rover. They are just not made well and constantly break. I can't comment on the defender, but I have a few range rovers and discos in the family and they are a constant bother for the owners.

i have a warn M8000 winch and it has been great.

others on the trail have commented at how fast it spooled under load and how strong it seemed to pull under heavy load. they were also blown away to find out it was only an 8k lb winch.

by far the Land Rover defender is hailed as one of the most reliable cars in its fleet, simply as it is more of a commercial vehicle. no mod cons (unless optioned)

they are due to replace it soon with a DC100 .... looks cool tbh i attached a picture of that also

I'm currently getting around 17mpg in my Acura RL, so the 2012 JK should do equal or better, and on regular rather than super. NJ pricing is about low $3 a gallon now, so I'm not TOO worried.

Got my VIN, now tracking it...scheduled for production, but that's all the info I have. Chrysler said delivery is scheduled for Dec. 5th, which I find crazy, but she said they are a little behind, so it may be an extra week. The wait is killing me.
