Its not the most Dangerous, and its not everywhere. Its mostly in the slums and the police that run those slums in Caracas (where I was born) Valencia, etc.

Why would people want to visit the slums? People go and see the Andes, La Gran Savana, Angel falls etc.

Colombia and El Salvador are much worse.

The only thing I find surprising about this is that you have 2 different kinds of octane to choose from. I wonder if there are very many people that try to save a dollar by choosing the cheaper octane over the higher one.

They'd save a hell of alot less than one dollar. We did only have one choice before. Before we had With or Without lead, but in around 2005 the dropped leaded gasoline compleatly. And some cars requiere 91 octane maximum.
But the majority of cars can go 91 and 95.

Toyotas are expensive because they have gained a VERY good reputation in Venezuela and many people want one and the fact that they are exellent trucks.
The NEW F250 Costs around $80 thousand while the USED Tundra costs about $192 thousand.
And the owner of Toyota of Venezuela is a huge dick cheese.

I'm biased towards Chevy, but I do like the new fords.

I've driven a fully loaded f150 with the turbo V6 talk about a fast truck. The interior was very nice and ride was great. That engine can tow but do not expect to get good mileage. When I drove it we were towing 8000LB's and we averaged about 7.5mpg. Daily driving mileage is great though. Otherwise I didn't mind the truck that much being a Chevy guy and all.

However you can get a fully loaded Silverado LTZ with the 6.2L for like $52K. The ride is great and the Z71 suspension is available on the LTZ trim. Interior like posted above is my personal favorite as far a trucks go. My father has an 07 suburban same interior great seats, NAV(getting updated software for 2012), bose is great. Heated and Cooled seats, ford has this too. The 6.2 is great, pretty much on par with fords 6.2.

The Chevy is my pick.

Venezuela has only the 5.3L V8 LS or LT Single or Crewcab, 4x4 and 4x2.

Ford ONLY has the 6.2 V8 XL Crew and single cab. XLT Crew and single cab. Lairat Crew cab. All with 4x2 or 4x4.

I can't import pickups, and I have to purchase the vehicle and keep it in the U.S.A for 1 year before I can bring it over. Not to mention the fees and taxes.

damn. that sucks. personally i would still take the chevy, as long as the 5.3 is mated with the 6 speed and not the 4.

imo both trucks are great. I think you would be pleased with either.
