Dynavin D99

Bit concerned by the glossy finish on the plastic on the photo on Jeffs site. Is it just the light? I thought the plastics matched the interior...

They do match, that does not look glossy to me...see pics of other installs, the hardware itself has not changed.

There is not a new video of D99 reworked out yet, that's a beta. The D99 will look similar with less bugs from my understanding. Who knows anything about the sound processor????????????????

What's the outcome on the new units, I am ordering one today I guess, Hopefully I will sell my turntables and turn them into dynavin unit. Should save my back and room in my house....Someone give me a hug and tell me it's going to be ok. the video of them trying to demo it is not very encouraging.

Hes probably doing a preorder with somebody....we dont do preorders, the E46 units are in production right now, we will have them in a week or two.

Jeff can you fire one of the Audi ones up on a test bench and give us a quick review? Really interested in the new iPod interface, the screenshots show it as having real potential with Album art etc..

I have a suspicion that you're going to be REALLY dissappointed if you're expecting album art.

I could be wrong, but the snippets we'se seen so far suggest album art, and I think they're flattering to deceive.

This is correct, it is NOT coverflow or album art....it is just meant to look kind of like that....although it looks different the actual operation is pretty much the same as the D95 (I suspect it has the same ipod hardware)

Ill try to do a video of an audi D99 unit at some point but I have some other stuff going on right now that is taking up every last second of my extra time....

What a truely bizarre thing for them to do. Surely it would have been easier to just have a plain yet nice looking background rather than fixed photographs of somebody elses CD collection? Very odd. It's almost as if they want people to think it has album art because the real explanation - that it is pictures of a random CD collection - is simply too odd to think could be the case.

sorry but this was a funny thread to read and I come to the last three posts to find that it is the funniest part in the entire thread. I printed and framed this for my desk at work.
