Exclamation Time for Transmission service ??

I have an '02 330xi Auto tranny with steptronic manual mode.....I have been told by an actual deal tech that the oil running in the transmission is lifetime and don't need to be serviced and servicing it would only be asking for trouble later. but lately the trans has been acting wierd, when in reverse the whole car seems to vibrate pretty heavily, also it has seem like the tranny has been holding onto the gears longer then normal when the gas is not being pressed hard. I could be at the light and when I take off it takes longer for it to shift into the next gear as if I was in the manual mode when I'm not. Could this mean it's time for a flush and filter change ??

vibration might be due to worn engine mounts and etc. as for the fluid, switch out for a piece of mind. You will be very happy when you see the old fluid.Do a drain and fill to replace some fluid or change the filter and tranny pan gasket as well.
