The hobbit part 1 should be fawking awesome; part 2 will be EPIC x 9999999999!!!! I'm sure nerds will nerdgasim all over the place for both. Next year seems like dope movies all year long...

I can't imagine anyone not enjoying both the story and the storytelling... which is why the LOTR trilogy was so well received by viewers of all ages. Well, except for My Beloved, who famously said she couldn't understand a story about returning jewelry (and she was half-serious)...

The Hobbit[ses] movies will also benefit from several additional years of Peter Jackson's improved CGI and filming technology, too (a great thing). I can't wait...

This is nothing more than a teaser trailer- no need to show a thousand and one big bangs and loud actions sequences as that is NOT what lord of the rings is about.

i enjoyed the other movies.

actually there was this one scene in the second movie that was soooooooo boring and so i started fingering my date. and she's moaning in the theater - so yes i enjoyed the movies.

No problem geeking it up... with that Gandalf, Saruman et. al include Radagast the Brown? (thought I'd geek it up a bit too). I haven't read the Simarillion or other works so I'm not really familliar with all the other lore.

Radagast is apparently cast in this. The Silmarillion is phenomenal; as good as LOTR. Recommend you grab a copy ASAP.

Metacritic currently has the reviews at 66 out 100. So far it appears critics think it ok, but not as good as the previous lots.
