I'm new here, and thought it'd be better to introduce myself here since I'm in Sydney.

Anyway, David, 04 M3. Trying to find as much track advice as possible...

Welcome David! Any specs or pictures of your M3? Perhaps start a new thread with details on your car and your goals for it.

There are few members on here who track their M3s. Best advice is to tune your driving skills and find your limits. Then look into mods. With time and experience you can only get better and more confident.

You probably want to start with suspension/brakes before you start doing power mods.
Also look into a good set of wheels and tyres.

Adam (bmwboy) can help you out seeing as he tracks his car in Sydney. Also Dwayne (CortinaD) always has useful information about M3s and tracking them.

Welcome mate, pics of your car? My track advice is to put old tyres on with not much grip the first couple times so as to go through at a slower pace, reducing your chances of having a stack

Urgent question guys!

I have to get my rear diff mount replaced since its shot... im about to head down to the mechanic's to talk about it. What prices have you guys experienced getting this done? He said he needs to remove all suspension, frames, exhaust etc. and he's not sure how long it will take 6+ hours... does this sound right?

Thanks

Hey Laura,
I just got back from having the FCAB's replaced and while car was on the hoist had a look at and discussed that diff mount. It's easily accessible and my mechanic estimates should take no more than 1.5hrs to replace so that should give you something to compare. Apparently most of the gear you mentioned does not need to come off.
