Air restriction huh.. sounds a lot like my clogging sounds at 2300rpm. the question is why it's doing that tho. throttle body, ICV all seem to check out and move freely.

What does the air filter and air box intakes (over the radiator to the side and from the front) look like?

My air intake is a custom series of metal peices with orange connector gaskets all the way from the throttle body to the giant cone air filter, no leaks.

Sorry to bring this from the grave but this is EXACTLY my problem. I've been through 2 MAFs already, cleaned ICV, replaced the intake boot. I'm STILL getting engine rich codes and my car bucks like crazy if I leave the MAF plugged in. Everything is relatively normal with it unplugged except for a minor loss in power. Did anyone ever figure this out?

Exhaust Restriction?

I'm chasing a minor vacuum leak but reading thru this thread makes me wonder if you have a plugged exhaust?
