Shift knob extension?

Does anyone know where to find a tall shift knob or extension that doesn't cost $90-300? It's not that I don't want to spend the money. I just don't want to spend the money on something and not like it and have to deal with going through the return process. I'd like to either buy or make one for around $20 if possible. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to see or hear about them thanks.

Lever? I already have rogue short shifter. I'm looking for something similar to this but cheaper.

well, it'll still have a shorter throw than stock (because the bottom is longer) but the lever is much, much taller. Lots of track guys use them. It was just a suggestion.
