New Khoalty M-tech II already cracked
So I finally decided to get an M-tech II bumper, which I've been dying for since I bought my 325Ci about 2 years ago. I got it painted and installed last Friday, and it looked great. I loved it. Then the universe decides to **** with me. I was driving back home from dinner tonight and a cat runs out of nowhere. I tried to swerve but ended up hitting it, and what do you know, my brand new bumper has a crack in it! pics included below
If this happened a couple of months from now, I wouldn't have cared as much. But its been less than a week! Does this look like something that can be fixed? I know it won't look perfect again but anything that can make it better would be great. PS in case anyone was wondering, the cat was fine. It ran away into the bushes when I stepped out of the car, so I'm assuming there weren't any serious injuries Last edited by anonchi; 01-19-2012 at 07:57 PM. |

Not the bumper's fault.
Can be easily fixed.

That sucks! I would try using an epoxy in the seam of the crack, and then weld the backside with a soldering iron. That should keep it in place long enough for the epoxy to harden.
Alternatively, you could get some CS splitters, they would cover it.

It's obviously not the bumper's fault; I never implied it was.
Thanks for the tip. I'll pick up some epoxy later tonight and see what happens. |

Thats some crappy luck, but use this opportunity to snag some CS splitters.
