Sorry didn't meant to sound touché. Hehe

Well he really won't know for sure until he get the numbers on the block.

Mine is a SETA. Has all the 2.5l parts. Only different is Intake Mani, Cam, Double Valve Springs, AFM, DME and Bottom End. Top end is almost identical.

Not sure why nobody's mentioned this yet, but this is not E46 related. Wrong section. E30 has no real weak spots, per se. Any "weak spots" are because it's a 25+ year old car. I sold my last E30 to a friend (89 325i) and it's got 260k original miles and is rock solid reliable.

Where is the dme numbers? Ill post more pictures of the block and the wiring. Ill try and look for the numbers on the block. The car runs smooth and shifts good. Clutch is in good shape. When i let out the clutch when its in nuetral right when i start it the car will die. I have to let it out slow then give it gas then shell idle fine.

Gents,

below is the picture of the dme sticker.

325i/is/iX
E30
M20/B25 (170hp)
87-91
0 261 200 173
Bosch Motronic M1.3

Where is the number on the block located? Is it below the exhaust manifold? How easy is it to get to?

Why is the speedo max redline 5k? Is this the wrong cluster?

Everything works but the gears are broke in the cluster. (RPM works) Not sure why they would put a 5k rpm speedo. The car is debadged.

I sell a Dinan performance chip for this DME. You can upgrade the injectors from the 14# to 17# or maximum 19#. Pm me.

The i head has a casting no. With last 3 digits 885 located underneath the intake manifold.

Those hoses are not stock. Better change those out to original ones.
He might have swapped clusters before not knowing the difference.

Judging from the look if the intake manifold, it's a 325i engine.

Those blue hoses look like a heater core hose from t-stat, and a vacuum hose from the intake manifold to CCV.
