kid ran away from cops in M3 GTS

The 19-year-old was driving with his girlfriend, Donay Meijer, in his orange BMW when he was pulled over for "showing off" in a restaurant district.

Details are sketchy on what happened next, but published reports suggest that a forsenic policeman tried to pull over Tomic again a few hours later, but the Wimbledon quarterfinalist kept driving until he was parked behind the gates at his house. The Herald Sun reports five policemen were waiting for Tomic, who then refused to exit the premises.

Tomic and his $150,000 car are familiar to Gold Coast police. He was accused of hooning (the Australian term for drag racing) in December.

Because of his P-plate restrictions, Tomic is only allowed to drive to and from practice. Thursday was a national holiday in Australia and Tomic said he wanted to spend it hanging out with a friend.

cliff: tennis teenage star got ticketed by a kangaroo cop for show boating in his M3 GTS. Minutes later teenage star got pulled over again but refused to pull over and went home instead. he parked his car in the driveway and refuse to get out until he felt he was safe.

Talk about being spoiled. Surprised he didn't throw a temper tantrum.

Thats no GTS. No adjustable rear spoiler, no adjustable front spoiler and wrong wheels.

That's not an ///M3 GTS. Its just an E92 ///M3 painted orange.

If you look, you can see that the ///M3 GTS has a rear wing, rather than a spoiler.

You guys are aware that you can change things about the car when you order them right? Like colour and wheels....and spoiler?

How do you know he didn't request to not have that gaudy rear wing?

There's also no roll cage, which would be especially difficult to remove.

NO. You cannot order a GTS in any other way other than the way they come.

That's an E92 M3 ordered in the Fire Orange with BMW Performance parts.

They sold out before they even came out.
I wouldn't spend 100k more on a GTS.

Yes especially when it's for the track and your are driving down city streets.

I hope you realize they didn't build the car around the roll cage it's put in after? If it went in, it can come out.

Step 2: Customize order from factory to remove all parts that make it a "GTS"
Step 3: Hoon
Step 4: ???
Step 5: Profit?

Really, though, why would one order a custom M3 GTS where all the customization is the actual removal of parts that differentiate a GTS from a regular M3?

Even if you were correct which I don't. Many dealerships will modify you car to your hearts desire after it shows up.

Correct, the GTS was not available here as it wouldnt be street legal according to our laws.

No we are not an island of criminals, i dont know too much about this story but the latest update i heard on the radio this morning was that he is filing an official complaint against the QLD police for harrasment.

No idea why as i said earlier, im not that in tune with the background of this story.
