OK, seriously this is what I'd do if I were building an exhaust from scratch.

I would build a 3" directly off the header, this would go back 2 or 3 feet and merge into a 3" "cut-out" electronically controlled from the cockpit. As soon as it exited the "cut-out" on the most unrestricted side, this small length of 3" would be your side exit. The other exit out of the cut-out would go straight back & would be EXTRA MUFFLED, as in totally stock sounding. The way I'd use this is 90% of the time I'd drive around "in stealth mode", until I needed my 3" free flowing side exit; then I'd unleash the FURRY !

Would you cut the floor out? So the exhaust would exit the rocker? Or go with an oval pipe (clearance) try to achieve the same exit? Or just run it out before the rear tire? Under the rocker. If you want to draw something up!

I'd run it out right before the rear tire with an oval pipe for clearance issues. I wouldn't bother with cutting into the body, to much time, & a pita.

Exactly the exhaust I was thinking about. I'm not sure if I want the side pipe to show or not.

This.

Make it so you can still jack up the car at that location.

The oval pipe is 2.125" I have about 6.5" to 7" clearance. The pipe would need to be around 3 feet long. ($150) idk, seems like a lot of money really close to the ground.

You scared? Also, couldn't you essentially just get a 3in stainless pipe heat it up on one end, and make it oval with a hammer or press?

Make your own 3" oval side exit pipe, clearly you some fabrication skills.

First take a sheet of 8" by 11" paper & fold it to: Cone shaped, then flatten cone into oval. Now since you can visualize what I'm saying, build it out of 18 gauge steel* sheet, one end is 3" round & the other end is whatever flattened oval dimensions you like. As long as it calculates to flowing the same or better than the original 3" round pipe.

*Fixed.

Seems like the difference in flow wouldn't even matter since its basically open headers.

Thanks for the input on the exhaust, finished up the new nozzle location. Gonna post the testing I did to find my spot. I should have the complete intake finished this week, still waiting on the heat reflection material.

Nah, nothing like that. Thinking single pipe with a round muffler JDM style!

xi,

You want the quietest muffler possible if you go with my idea. You can of course still weld good looking tips on.

I really like your idea, I'm still up in the air on the whole thing though! Got some updates today. Those lil rubber washer's were from the VCG. I took them and used them as bushings for my nitrous bottle mount. (saving $$$) The Second picture is the wrapped intake tube. I used the Aerolite material from EarlsIndy. It is better than the gold foil, and cheaper. Yes, the "real" gold foil that Ferrari uses/F1 cars etc is better. But it costs a zillion dollars! Third/Fourth pic is possible LWT carpet mod? Yes, I can sew and iron! Picture 5/6 are the intake installed. This was a long day, broke some things cut a hose too short... etc 2 steps back 1 step forward. Enjoy!
