I cannot say I've had the same experience with Zimbrick. It took them two if not three times to diagnose two different issues: Those issues being a seized front caliper and a bad drivehaft. At the end of the day they fixed the problem under warranty. However, it was absolutely frustrating to the point where I had to talk to the service manager about the issues with my car explaining to him I understand cars and how they work.

For the price they pay, I'd rather go to Kelly Moss Motorsports. They $20/hr cheaper and they listen to me. Go enough for me.

Figured I'd post my new-to-me Z4 that I've spent almost 2 months hunting down. Bought this one in Nashville last weekend. I had many bought out from under me before I could get a deposit put down, and two people tried to buy this car with cash over the course of the 9 hours it took me to drive down to Nashville to see it.

Toledo Blue on Black 2003 Z4 3.0i, 6spd manual, 60k miles
Sport, Premium, and Convenience packages + heated seats and bi-xenons.

Got a pretty good deal on it, but it's only had ~1500 miles put on it in the last few years because the previous owner was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident 3 years ago. Needless to say it needs a little work. Couldn't apply more than 15% throttle the whole 600 miles home or else it would bog pretty badly. Fixed many large cracks in the lower intake boot while I wait for a new one, and have 2 new coils coming in tomorrow. Got a new battery and I still need to replace the batteries in the fobs since it has been sitting so long.
Also is missing a few bits behind the front bumper. (can see in first picture)
Otherwise, it is in excellent condition from being garaged most of it's life.

Even with the acceleration issues, this car is fun as hell!
Completely and totally different from the E46. Absolutely no competition in the handling department.

Awesome man! I absolutely love that body style ever since I saw those Z4 M coupe's I fell in love with the body style!

I look forward to seeing it in the spring!

That was part of what got me to look for a Z4 actually. The 3.0i is pretty quick too. Not an ///M, but it's a hell of a jump from my 323i in performance and handling.

I just need to get a new set of tires on it. It has 6 year old Nitto N555's, which really, really suck.

Are the Ventus V12 evo's still the best cheap ultra high performance summer tire that doesn't suck in the rain? Looks like about $750 for a full set for the Z. I was also looking at the Dunlop Z1 Star Spec's, but a friend had them at the same time as me and they lasted a good 5000 miles less than my Hankooks and started gripping far worse than mine after the first 5000 miles.

Ive got about 10k miles on the hankook tires now with one track day and some spirited driving and they still have plenty of tread left and still grip great!

Yeah the 3.0 no doubt is a nice jump in terms of speed and handling from the 323i.

Well, guess I'll just bite the bullet and get a set for the Z4 when I get new rears for the e46. In the order comments I'll say they are for my 6 wheeled track rat.

Nice new ride! I think my next car is likely going to be an M Coupe... I love them.

As far as tires go, give a good look to the Conti DW summer tires.

Just thought I'd poke my head in here and say hi. Used to have an e90 330i but it was totaled in December by a drunk driver. Been searching for an e46 330ci and boy am I having a hell of a time.

I had to get mine from Virginia, found a couple around but the prices were a little unreasonable. I might sell mine in like 2 months....

Very very nice!!! So, when are you gonna show it off to the Madison people? I think we should plan a get together over beer!

It is going well. Sorry, I just have not had time to post of e46 much. Only when I am jonesin' for some info or bored. I am glad you got to use the oil.

How's life with you?

Plan a Madison meet and I'll be there! We better do a meet when it gets warmer too, to drive some of the roads out by Mt Horeb and Blue Mounds...

I just had an idea for this summer. Sprecher is my favorite root beer ever, they make it in Glendale Wisconsin, about 100 miles from Appleton area. So maybe some meet this summer,we take a spirited drive to Glendale, tour the place, sample some sodas and beers while we relax there for a bit, then punch it home....?

Is this one of my bad ideas? What do you guys think?
