Has anyone tried to "push" this thing open after it stopped? If so I can tell you how I fixed mine with the same problem.

finally narrowed it down. it appears too be a wire but now my front lock mechanism broke when putting the soft top down manually
looking at $800 or more. |

The wire was a green and black also the. Brown wires were stripped. The wires are located on the driver side front soft top. Ill try to snap some pictures of where the wires are located..

Thanks guys i appreciate all the help.
The car comes out of storage in a couple weeks and would love to fix it immediately. Yes storage, not wise to drive these cars in Canadian winters. |

So i removed the harness yesterday and the brown and yellow wire had snapped in half.
repaired with old wire laying around the house and walla. everything work perfectly. |

Where were the wires broken? In the area of the fold over a window.

Mine were broken on the first fold of front driver side soft top. I would post a picture only if I knew how to.

I must say, I had the exact same issues. I checked everything... and this was it... I would say, cut the wire lume(sp) and see if any wires are broken or very bent.
