Post m3 subframe LSD

is there a differemce with buyin a m3 subframe and lsd from a 2005 m3 vs a 2001 m3.....i have a guy selling it to me for a pretty decent price but the 01 is a little lower...is there any recalls or anything i should keep in mind


it a 3.62 ls m3 diff with axels subframe

ive been lookin all day but is there any thread that someone has a DIY on the swap for a 330 trying to see how much moddin if any is needed?

I don't think there's a difference between the 01 and 05 rear end. Maybe the price difference is because of mileage and just because ones older.

Does your car have a manual transmission? If so, 5 or 6 speed? 5 speed will require a custom driveshaft (shortened), 6 speed will require the use of an M3 driveshaft. I don't know what driveshaft is used for auto or SMG transmissions.

i got a 5 speed 330ci the guy said he's gonna send me the whole entire kit control arms m3 shaft calipers and everything for 1400, but the question i have is that if the m3 drive shaft will fit my transmission since i have a 5 speed or will i need to adjest something?

You'll need to have your 5 speed drive shaft shortened.
