All....great thread and thank you for the DIY. Gives me hope.

I have been looking for a pristine 325it Manual (sport, cold weather, premium) for 4 months and have yet to find it. I'm thinking about buying an 2002 325it auto and doing the swap.

Two questions for those who have done the swap.

A) Do you wish you had put in a 6 speed? I seem to remember reading that the bolting pattern is different (maybe that's why you did the 5spd???). Just thought it would be nice to have 6th gear since I do a lot of highway driving.

B) Any issues passing emissions testing (I live in MA, which I think is second only to CA for its strict emissions standards)

Any advice is appreciated...Thanks in advance!
