I have a Dynavin D90 with Android which works with the WiFi. But I want it to work with 3G modem and there's no way. Would any of the Enco E046 owners be interested in a switch? AFAIK, the Enco works with 3G modem but not with the WiFi.

So basicaly this Enco is not worth buying yet because it doesn't do OBD or wifi? What good is Android without wifi? Can't even download angrybirds with out a 3g plan.

I meant that I would be happy to change units with someone; he gets a working WiFi and I get a working 3G modem.

As with the Dynavin, there's also a non-android version. And Dynavin hasn't have support for OBC function until the latest version, still thousands of people own it and are happy with it. So, saying that something isn't worth it just because it lacks two functions (which, obviously more than a few doesn't need) is a bit hard.

Ok. I agree obd isn't really nessicary, but do either of the Enco devices work on wifi? I would think for updating, gps, and apps, wifi would be and excellent option with tethering. Does a 3g modem require a subscription service? I cant help but compare the operation of these head units to my android phone. And with out wifi,or internet access the usefullness seems very limited.
I'm not trying to bash them, actually I want one,but if it cant connect to the internet I don't understand the benifit.

Same for me... The Android part is the most potential part of the device, but I just want to use my iPhone's tethering option.

Double bummer is that the interface this device supplies is way better looking than a Dynavin D99.

I don't want a radio tuner from a Volkswagen in my BMW...

Im going to try bluetooth tether when my unit finally arrives... still stuck in customs but they said they will have it sorted today. I think it had something to do with me shipping it to my work place. I really hope they release a fix for the wifi because that is something I definitely need for tethering.

So the WiFi stack doesn't exist, or people haven't tried the right adapter? I know the dynavin is very picky as to which adapter it will work with.

The no tethering part is a bit disappointing for me to. However it may be possible to do upgrades etc through the sd card.

Does anyone have a list of which WiFi adapters will actually work with the Dynavin?
The one I received with the unit is very flaky (to say the least). It keeps dropping the connection to my iPhone.

I bought my unit to Jeff and got it with a fully working WiFi USB dongle. My problem is that I'm paying a data plan every month for my 3G USB Modem and I can't use it. I know there are other options (MiFi) but I don't like them because you have to turn them ON/OFF every time. Dynavin states that their product works with 3G modems and that's all I'm asking.

So, I have a Dynavin unit which works fine with WiFi. But I want to use my data plan with a 3G modem. That's why I'm offering a change with somebody who has a ENCO.

Anybody have a video of the WinCE version in action with the radio/Ipod side of things and the nav system?
