Seems that most if not all the non-OEM ones come from Asia.
Despite what the seller may say, you will probably have to do some modding to the camera to fit it properly unless you get lucky with it. Mine required extensive work to fit. So far it has lasted through 2-1/2 winters & countless car washes with no problems. I also like the distance scale that's built in.

Got mine from Asia too. Didn't take that long, definitely wasn't a month. It did require A LOT of modding to make it fit. Gotta get another one now. My LED light stays on all the time now. Doesn't kill my battery or anything but is extremely annoying to look at.

can anyone help with this? i'm thinking that the camera is either defective, or not receiving enough power. any suggestions how to check this? the camera power is tapped into the passenger side reverse light.

instead of soldering wires (from camera power to reverse light), i used t-taps to splice. could this have any affect on this? also, i used 22-gauge hookup wire to extend the reverse wire (the green wire from behind the Dynavin) to the trunk. could that have any affect on this? just trying to do some detective work...

thanks for any help!

What cameras are you all using the CCD or CMOS technology?

Can anyone help me? Im still trying to fix my camera and am trying to extend the RCA as it won't reach the dash.

This is what I got. The inside of the RCA that came with my cam is different to the inside of the RCA that I want to extend with. Left in the pic is the camera RCA and right is the extend the cable with. Please help.

The one on the right is designed for better quality (solid) and better noise cancellation (thicker plastic) but in the end they're both the same build. You have your positive on the inside and negative coiled around it to prevent noise. Solder the positive first then heatshrink. Then solder the negative and heatshrink around the entire area.

ground is always the wire outside coiled around. This is to cancel out interference

mine hasnt got a trigger cable either beyond that on the camera.... what is meant to do...
does yours work without it ?
I have an enco not dynavin, but i think right hand drive cars are tighter behind the dash than left, due to the orientation of the dash vs unit

Where are you mounting it? It's hard to see from the pics.

The underside of the Trunk handle, right side light cover removed. THis is where I see everyone else mounting it, but mine doesn't really mount well and I dont have any mounting hardware.

I see now. Is it possible to to use the bracket on the camera and mount it, let's say between the lic plate light and the center (lock cylinder)?

I don't think it will work, not enough space and weird angles. it would fit where the light was but, it doesn't have any mounting hardware and wont go inside the light frame.

The one I used is similar to this one. It wasn't a perfect fit, but I made it work.
