Head gasket for 84.5mm bore M54

Going to start my rebuild next week and would like to know If it is ok to use a stock M54 .030 head gasket with a 84.5mm bore? (.5 overbore)

I have not seem this mentioned anywhere and I know a few of you guys are running this size piston.

I just measured a stock gasket and it measures a little over 85mm ID so you should be OK with OEM. VAC claims better reliability with their gaskets and they stock them in different thicknesses. Cometic also makes an aftermarket M54 .032" gasket.

What pistons and CR are you running?

Pistons are CP 8.8:1. Appreciate the measurement as I did not have one laying around. I think the next course of action is wait until I get the block back from the machine shop and lay the gasket over the top.
