Do people still buy black rims?

I'm thinking about getting some ASA AR1's but I don't see many cars with black rims anymore so i'm wondering if the style has passed?

I don't think the style has passed or anything, I have matte black rims, though I would've preferred silver or gunmetal... but anyway...Get them if you like them!

Get what you want. Black rims isn't my thing, but if it's yours, get them.

Black is good for, red, white, black and some blue cars. Don't put black on anything other than that. The style is still in, just do it right.

I just bought a 2005 325Ci, and part of what won me over was because the 65 year old man driving it had black wheels on it!!

Some of the new kids with their recently acquired "I'm a BMW owner and my sh!t doesn't stink" elitist attitude will tell you to stay away from black wheels. However, with a proper setup (ie lowered), black wheels still work. If you're still on stock suspension you'll just look goofy.

never liked them... gunmetal, hyperblack, etc... can all be done right, but straight up black/flat black? completely mutes the look of the entire car... having sharp classy rims (silver) that POP can completely make the look of a car

If they are still selling them, then someone is buying them! Not me, of course, but someone.
