I'm guessing your camera is really bad because my magnaflow doesn't sound anything like that...so much rasp.

Yea its a great set up! I'm the first one to try it so I was a little worried at first, but soo glad I did it. Also, there is NOO drone.

It's an Iphone so not the best quality. But the magnaflow didn't have any rasp. It was just really deep. I was revving it to about 6k so that's why it sounded a little raspy.

Sounds good. Hard to get good sound with a phone, but I like what I hear.

Hey everyone, back from the dead. Got some new parts for the 330 that you guys gotta see. My main objective is to knock out the entire cooling system (both engine and oil systems) and make it somewhat bulletproof.

Unfortunately I haven't driven her in the longest time...she's been on jacks ever since a brake caliper seized a couple months back. At the same time I've been dealing with financial issues, so I'm getting set back quite a lot right now on this project. Not giving up tho, I have some AWESOME plans in the works (these mods are all prep items for the future). Trusty ol' steed will get there...eventually lol.

I also bought a "new" 99' 540i as a daily, so I'm not missing the 330 too too much jk jk. Honestly tho, this thing is awesome. V8 power, clean as fcuk with only 85k on the clock (as well as a new engine that was replaced under warranty; tech accidentally dropped a bolt into the intake manifold and fired it up...lol), plus was owned by an old lady all its life. On top of that, she insisted on giving me a portfolio of useful info! This, encyclopedia I should say, has every service record that was done to the car since it was new. Great success!

I'll start off with the 540i Notice the old school auto tranny; I'm happy with it too! Makes it an awesome cruiser.

Now for the 330.... Prepping the engine for my build. And no, it wont have any sort of supercharger/turbo on it.

Aluminum Radiator, a direct bolt on according to HPF. Btw, awesome guys to do business with.










New custom sized AFE Pro5R. I like the idea of the Dryflow AEM I had, but you just can't beat the noise/throttle response of an oiled filter. Plus this has more surface area due to the inverted cone.










Thought it would be nice to add a pre-filter.














Since one of the brake calipers is seized, I bought a repair kit for all 4 calipers as preventative maintenance. I figured fcuk it, while I'm in there I'll change the lines as well. V2 SS Teflon brake lines from Bimmerworld.










Technik's old school oil cooler kit. Had to kill a guy with a trident for this.




Kind of assembled...




The oil lines for the cooler feed through the stock intake scoop. I had taken this off after the Dinan CAI...mainly because I'm not fond of its original shape. So......I decided to reshape it. Yes it will be painted nicely to hide the scratches

Also, as some of you may know I sold my 18x9 Apex's in hopes of getting 18x9.5's all around instead. The 9.5's are a bit more concave and stretch 255 size tires perfectly. Here are a few shots test fitting that new size rim on the front. I'll be going hyperblack this time....they look so much better. Btw this is with a 5mm spacer...I didn't need one though; it was only for fun.

Yea that engine's a beast. I'll definitely play around with the motor eventually. I think the HP is like 286 now... with a couple bolt on's it'll easily pass the 300 mark; torque could probably go up to about 350 or so. Then some Bilstein PSS9's, style 5's, and call it a wrap.

God i LOVE this thing. Hope everything is makin a turn for the better bro, glad to see everything is piecing itself back together slowly but surely. Car will feel awesome with all this new shit to the point in which you prolly wont even remember how it felt before you had all the new stuff in since you havent driven it in so damn long hahah.

No not yet. 272/256 schricks will be going in there eventually though. I'm not touching the internals until I have the money to build everything at once (pistons, stage 3 head, cams, etc). Btw the rims look sick man

Thanks bro, yea its gonna be weird to drive it again lol. It's nice to have the e39 now tho, I'll appreciate the 330 a lot more if I dont drive it as often.

Just put in 264's shricks and they are amazing up top on freeway pulls.. Are you going to get new retainers or what ever like vac recommends for those? My limit is 6500 and it wants to pull a lot more cant imagine 272's would. Be ideal if you really wanna notice the power unless your really going to build it.. Thanks man I love apex's
