And you're right, this is no environment for a 7 year old to grow up in. An environment where mom does what she wants with whomever she wants, and dad/stepdad is angry and sad all the time because of it.

We are all trying to help you here. In short, you and her have differing ideas of what you want in a relationship. It will never work and equate to happiness for you both. Yep and we are buying a home, I must be out of my mind, but I am totally in love with her and love her daughter as if she was my own daughter. I am hoping it's just a phase.....She knows how I feel about it and I have told her that if she goes through with it that I would be reconsidering our relationship, but having a happy wife at home is always a good thing. Maybe I will change my feelings if something comes of this date, but I am going to hold my horses until then.

Well if this is your first time committing to someone I have good news and bad news.

Bad news: You've committed to a beautiful woman, her child and a great relationship seemingly filled with everything a normal guy wants. However, her interests lie elsewhere and you will feel the soul sucking/ripping pain that comes with having to give all that up to keep your dignity and save it for your next search.

Good News: It really doesn't get much worse than this. Aside from having your own kid and already owning a house, you've got all the situationals that make ending a relationship that much more difficult. Some guys experience these as separate aspects of different relationships. Count yourself lucky you're not more intertwined with her. Hopefully you can see what I'm saying.
