They're getting installed today, there were some issues with the fitment of the rad, that was the first thing on their list to get done. Hopefully they can figure it all out and have every thing done by the end of the day. I'll update once I get the car.

Side note: I picked the alu rad up, with the shroud and spal fan attached... very light. I'd say 10-15 lbs total. I'd imagine the OEM rad weighs a lot more, so I'm hoping it's at least a 10 lbs savings there. Combined with the fenders, should be around 18-20 lbs off the front end. And.. when ever my li-ion battery comes in, that will chop off another 17 lbs off the car. Putting me roughly 35 lbs lighter or around 3004 lbs!

I'm thinking of getting sway bars when I get my coilovers, the GC kit to be exact.

Now, I understand sway bars... but I understand them on an AWD car, haha. So help me decided on what to get for this car. GC say their front comes in medium and stiff, then the rear comes in soft, medium, stiff.

I'm thinking I'm going to go with the medium front (option A), setting it on the stiffer setting and then going with the medium rear (option 2) and set it on a medium setting. More or less go for a 33-34 mm front bar type of stiffness and a 24-25 mm rear bar type of stiffness. Go a tad bit stiffer than what the CSL is, but still keep it somewhat conservative since I'll have coilovers. Partly doing this to help the suspension, going a bit stiffer than stock, but also since GC's sway bars will drop weight, from what I've found. I've read that the front drops around 10 lbs and just guessing that the rear will drop around 5 lbs.

Any other recommendations? UUC? Rouge? Turner? Hotchkis?

I believe the stock sway bars for the M3 is 26mm front and 21.5 mm rear; then the CSL is 32 (31.8) mm and 22.5mm.

Well... aluminum radiator is on, cf fenders are on and the li-ion battery is installed. Enough talk.. here are the pics:

I need to drill holes for the side markers and the other thingy

Li-ion battery cradled in the foam it comes with. This is the 404 CCA, 4.2 lbs battery.

I removed the stock battery mounting hardware

And here are the weights:
Stock fenders 6.4 lbs (each) (actual savings 7.2 lbs)
OEM radiator shroud 1.8 lbs
Clutch Fan 4 lbs
Battery mount hardware 3 lbs
Difference between Deka and Li-ion 16.8 lbs

total weight dropped: 32.8 lbs

Now, the OEM radiator came in at 11.5 lbs, roughly. I forgot to weight the Zionsville radiator, but it was very, very light. It it was either around the same weight or a couple lbs lighter. I'm leaving that out of my numbers, since I don't know for sure.

Theoretically, if my math is all accurate i should be at 3007 lbs now!

Nice! So with the fenders, you saved a total of 12.8lbs?

The fitment actually looks pretty good too! I'd really consider these for sure!

Oh, sorry, I'm dumb. Haha...

CF fenders were 5.6 lbs total
Stock fenders 12.8 lbs total
So the savings was 7.2 lbs and total weight dropped was 32.8 lbs! Good catch.

I think it is safe to say - you are now officially obsessed!!

I will be wrapping the entire car in matte grey... Maybe matte white. Can't decide. I have satin black apex arc-8s, so either one will match.

Yeah, definitely on the edge of addiction!!!

That he got lost and ended up in the M3 forum.

White with the gold wheels will look good. Currently the car looks riced out with the various paint colours and CF. Vinyl wrap will give the car a uniform look.

Always a hater! I hear it all the time because I bought a vert and SMG! I wish people would realize we are all entitled to our choice! Heck - you paid for your ///M - you can do what you want to it! Sorry for the vent!

Anyways - I like the idea is white with the gold rims? Thoughts of repainting the rims? Maybe gun metal?

I have satin black that I'm going to run during summers, once the car is done. The OEM 18s will probably be paint a silver-ish color. I'd like to resemble a magnesium color, if that's possible.

Dropped some more weight today, 4.8 lbs to be exact.

Here is 1.2 lbs worth of stuff:

This was all from the quarter panel up by the rear window. Stuff I feel like I didn't need anymore

Another 1.2 lbs here:

Just the motors for the rear windows. I used zip ties to hold them shut, till I get the lexan ones.

And another 2.4 lbs for this:

Purely cosmetic, so I figured it had to weigh something. Should also help with heat, nothing holding it in anymore.

That's it for tonight. Maybe I'll find some more stuff tomorrow...
