I have halogin from factory and have auto leveling!!
I just want to be sure that I will still have this feature after installing the projectors.

The mod does not interfere with mechanical leveling systems, so you should be fine. Basically the projector just sits where the bulb used to sit. The projector becomes a giant bulb sitting in your housing.

Double post, but the prism shields came in. I have to bend them myself so it's very much trial and error.

Vid of the flicker. I moved too fast so the green is lost as is the red. And I'm shaky.

Making bi-xenon work is easy. The two wires that come off the projector are for the solenoid. Tap them into your high beam wires (black solenoid goes to brown high beam) and when you activate your high beams the shutters will go down.

is anyone else's right lowbeam light turning yellow? I bought 6k HID bulbs from DDM and its been pissing me off. I highly doubt anyone else is having this problem (unless you bought your HIDs from ddm) but my right one was normal for a few days and then just turned the stock 4300 temperature.

Really pissing me off especially with DDM's return policy.

I did this retrofit over the weekend. I went out tonight to align them a bit more and I've gotta say that this is definitely one of the best bang for the buck mods halogen light owners can do! I love em. I went with the 5000k bulbs and the H1 projectors. The shrouds were a bit of a p.i.t.a. and I may eventually go back in there with the dremel and epoxy. Not a big deal right now though.

If you are thinking about doing it, order the kit from the retrofit source and ask them to include the Can bus wiring harness and the bixenon wire splitters (they'll throw them in free). Makes wiring up the bixenon super easy (no wire taps or anything like that needed). Super intuitive wiring and no error lights on my dash.

Many thanks to xi_chee and the others who contributed to this DIY.

Output pics? I'm tweaking my MH1s because they both have a slight frown.

Some crappy cell phone pics from this evening. It isnt 100% level, but I dont know if it is enough for me to go back in there.

The last pic shows the passenger side light with a bit of an angle, but I'm not blinding drivers....

As I said, the DIY was great and much appreciated!

I'm glad there are folks who take the time to walk us all through this stuff. I usually tell myself that I'll take step-by-step pics when I'm doing something, but I always just wind up trying to get it done and neglect any photos. And I was elbow deep in epoxy due to a minor error...

What did you use to mount them? I was going to use the H7 adapter on the projectors (after removing the BMW H7 adapter ring from the housings) for alignment.

I actually didn't use the H7 adapter (not that it is wrong to do so, or anything like that). I did remove the BMW adapter from the housing. I used what I think is called the 9006 adapter (comes attached to to the projector via the tiny screws out of the box). I kept the top screw at 12:00 as I tightened the hell out of the retaining ring by hand and then with needle nose pliers. Oh, and I used the bigger silicone pad on the reflector side of the mounted projector. Hope this helps.

I have a set of these for sale. Everything you need including the HIDs and LED angel eyes for $200 barely used! If interested pm me or email me at dburgoon77@yahoo.com

Again this is the same projectors he used, a 55w 4500k HID kit and LED angel eyes for $200.

I would suggest some 5000K XB35s from TRS. I have a DDM 6k kit and the difference is unbelievable. Brighter, sharper, no bulb spacing issues.

Compare my picture from earlier up this page with the DDM prism to this one with the XB35s.

They're a tad pricey at $70 for a pair but you know they won't go wrong and if they do, TRS has amazing support and insanely fast shipping. It's almost like they bribe USPS. GA -> UT was faster than CA -> UT
