Doing nothing will give you more performance than buying a cold air intake.

The best thing to do would be to modify your OEM air box. You can take a que from the m3 air box design and use a tube to connect the bottom of your air box to your break duct.

I made a thread about doing just that, except I connected the other end to an intake in the front of my car, sort of a forced air effect.

I'll see if I can find that thread and post it up.

Try getting K&N cold air intake or just head over to Autozone or any local parts store they sell the filters and the custom piping to do your own CAI. That is how I did mine and it sounds beautiful

I modded into an unused vent in my bumper...but if I didn't have that, I'd probably just leave the tube behind the bumper.

You can get a new injen on ebay for about $170 shipped. It's the silver version but for the price you pay... oh man.

The best system on the market for the 325 is the Injen CAI. I am still willing to honor our old sale, just shoot me a PM or email and I'll hook you up with a coupon. If you would not like the HydroShield (we highly recommend it for street cars) then I can knock $24 off the price of the intake.

Special Pricing

With HydroShield Pre-Filter: $303 SHIPPED to the lower 48 states. (+$10 for the black intake)

Without HydroShield Pre-Filter: $279 SHIPPED to the lower 48 states. (+$10 for the black intake)

Click Here for the old sale thread

Click Here for our intake catalog

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ah, not my listing :p And I have a confession. I went back and bought that CAI. I looked on RealOEM and for a 325 the airbox has the same part numbers through 10/2007. The MAF changed in 2001, but I think that was an electrical thing since the airbox remained the same as did the part number for the upper intake boot (which the injen replaces) which leads me to believe that part number RD1110P will fit a 2003 325xi with build date 12/2002 at least.

I'll let you know. Other ebay listings were literally $100 more.

The injen system will fit all E46 325 (2001-2006) except for models with the M56 engine as they use 330 size MAF sensors/intake boots. I have a feeling that listing was a mix-up, the retail on the system is $400.

I'm hoping not. They have great feedback in all areas (100% with feedback score of 1154) and in their disclaimers they do say that they are an inventory overflow auction house. Does seem a bit too good to be true, though these disclaimers do make me feel a bit more comfortable.

Also to anyone who winds up here in a search. ClutchFlywheel.com has the black (no other color stocked) hydro sock for this filter for $9.75 with free shipping. Their google reviews are mostly positive, but there are 2 bad ones. So if you want to be sure of service, quality, and fitment, contact Ryan!

I'll try and remember to follow up with results from these other sellers. Really hoping the listing wasn't bad lol.
