max rear camber on stock e46 control arms

hello all,

just wondering for e46 non-M and e46 M's, what is the maximum negative camber achievable at the rear for stock control arms?

anyone DIY their rear camber on the e46?

More than I expected.. Gonna be maxing them out in the next few weeks so hopefully I can get a figure like that

Were you running zero toe?

I think it depends on how much toe you're running but also outside factors like how square the chassis is and if you're lowered or not. I just recently thew on new meyle rear control arms with stock suspension and was only able to get -1.5 out of the driver's and -2.2 on the passenger. Ended up running -1.5 on both. Front was only allowing -.8 drivers and -1.3 passenger. Not sure why the driver's side wasn't able to get as much negative camber, everything appeared to be straight.

at one point i was at -3.0

That's interesting... Wonder what caused that.

Not sure, the car has never been in a wreck so the frame is straight. I did sit in the car when it was being aligned but I would think that would give me more negative not less.

Outside of that, your guess is as good as mine. I've got coilovers coming so I can dial in more front camber and I'll have to see how much more negative it goes when it gets lowered to see if it warrants aftermarket rear lower control arms.

It will also depend how low you are. So there is no distinctive answer

So a lowered car with maxed out negative camber on stock control arms would achieve more neg. camber compared to maxed out stock arms on a non lowered car. That's what I was hoping to hear.

Correct

I managed to get -2 to -2.5 on my rears on stock control arms.

Not trying to sound like an idiot nor someone that can't read but are you guys talking about the stock rear control arms that come from factory ? if so what do you do to adjust it to negative camber ? thanks in advance

I was/still am very low in my M. I was able yo get -3.0 on both rears when they were maxed out. This was stock though.

Now I have SPC Camber Arms, best $179 I spent on suspension. I now run -4.5, and plan to knock it out to -5.0. And I've been told i could go up to as much as -10 if i really wanted. But thats CRAZY!!!

Stock Arms.

People running aftermarket arms can get all the way up to -10 or greater depending in how low you are.

Any one have pics of their cars how the stance looks with these negetive numbers you guys are getting with the stock arms ?

i pulled -3.4 / -3.3 only half way down on my coilovers on my rears. fronts were maxed though.

I was able to get -3.3 in the rear as well

There is some solid content in this thread, including some E46s. Most of them include their camber specs too.
