I think the tape right after the incident is pretty relevant, especially if you Zimmerman's claim is that he was injured to the point where he feared for his life.

How much injury do you need to sustain? If someone points a gun at me, I'm in fear for my life, but as long as I shoot first, then I won't have any injuries.

What if he was punched once and head bashed once? is that enough?

No. It isn't. Unless you were being punched by Alistair Overeem... Could death occur? Sure. Death could occur if someone pushed you in the shoulder and you slipped. That doesn't mean you shoot them.

that's fine. If martin was threatening to punch and Zimmerman subjectively feared for his life, but an objective reasonable person would not fear for his life, then manslaughter.

I can't stress how often deciding between charges occurs on a daily basis to the DA when deciding when or if to file charges. There is nothing about this case that makes it newsworthy.

if he's a ***** and the law is on his side then yes it's enough. So in this case, it looks like it was enough. It doesn't mean I agree with it.

You don't think that the police departments actions (or lack thereof) are newsworthy?

Easy to clean up a bloody nose, which is likely what the SFD did while Zimmerman sat in the back of a squad car when receiving treatment. Furthermore, the hair on the back of his head is going to hide any lacerations he may have sustained.

I don't think it proves or disproves anything.

I swear I feel like every time Zimmerman and martin get brought up there is an argument and the worst part is that its the practically the same argument as the one in the other threads lol

not outside of central FL/Florida.

This type of killing happens a lot. Unless there was overwhelming evidence and the DA refused to act on it, I don't think its as big of deal.

Ok, how many times would you allow someone to smash your head into the pavement before you considered the possibility that they werent going to stop doing it until you were dead or permanently injured?

Keeping in mind that you get more woozy and disoriented, and less coherent and coordinated with each time? Keeping in mind that people that get curb stomped dont choose to be, they just get beaten to the point where theyre incapable of resisting.

Youre so sure that 1 punch and 1 smash isnt enough. How many is enough?

Dont equivocate. Give us a solid, objective, written-into-law number.
