F30/F80 Next Gen M4 V6 Rumor persists

Quite frankly, this vexes me... I really hope they dont do it, and its just internet chatter. With the I-6 tradition thrown out the window, along with SUV M cars , minivans in disguise (5 GT), Turbo charging gas cars(This one wasnt so bad), i fear we may only be years away from a FWD badged BMW

The latest information (rumors) circulating about the next M3***8242;s engine suggest that BMW is seriously thinking of placing a V6 (a 90 degree V6 at that) into the F80. Heresy!! BMW, a company known for it's silky smooth inline sixes appears to be treading into Pontiac territory (Hello Buick 3800!) with a 90 degree V6. At least that's the fear.

You can have that in the new F11 6er, and i think the 5er too, but do you really want that in a M3?
