I made my car lock/unlock all of the doors at once, instead of driver first then the rest.

My car has no "prewired" tags in the boot at all. I don't think they did that with EUR/AU models.

I reckon I can do the bare minimum wiring by adding a new wire to the GM5 module (X254 pin 8) and feed it out of the firewall. Will it work?

My car does not have any tags either. Seems this was specific to US models.

Your siren and all the other modules will retrofit in the same place as a LHD car according to realoem.com






Take a look at the Alarm section in this PDF, it is definitely more challenging for you guys but it is possible.

I did this mod and have had a lil issue pop up. Now when I remove the key and exit the vehicle the beeper still beeps like the key is in the ignition or the lights are on. This puts my fob in the useless stage again. I cant lock or unlock the car from fob but can with the key. Any ideas?

I'm new so how would i go about reprogramming my e46? For the flasher functions?

'Tis a disappointing response to your first post here that I must tell you your car can only be programmed by the dealer unless you invest in the software and a special cable that connects to your car.

Welcome!

Since the programming is the harder part, I'd recommend getting the ultrasonic sensor while you are at it and have it programmed at the same time. The part is really easy to install.

You can get the tilt sensor too, but the motion sensor seems more useful to me.

The ultrasonic motion sensor can usually be found on e-bay for about $20.

If I recorded that video today, I would feel dissapointed with myself.

Just realized you can't see anything in the engine bay, and I cut myself off at the end.

How did everyone connect their wiring to the plug did everyone cut the socket? Everyone is using a higher gauge wire that doesn't fit in the plug.

You cut nothing. Stick the wires in and you're done, I don't see the "everyone" you're talking about.

In previous posts a few people said they used 18 gauge wire

I used 24 gauge speaker wire that was left over.

You can buy 3 feet of the stuff at a dollar store.

Same issues here any ideas
