And bullets impacting low is often a sign of trigger flinch and anticipating the trigger. The Ball and Dummy drill works well to correct this. Randomly mix in dummy rounds into your magazine when shooting. See if you're jerking the gun downward due to anticipation/flinch.

Can you use spent casings for dummy rounds? Just wondering..I'm going to the range tomorrow and would love to practice FTF drills...but don't have snap caps yet.

You can, and we've done it with off-duty carry guns at work during qualifications, since we only carry .40S&W dummy rounds and most guys carry 9mm or .380 off-duty guns. It won't work as well, but you'll still get plenty of practice at clearing malfunctions if it hangs up and stovepipes. One thing you can do is take a pliers and crimp down the case opening to somewhat of a point so that it feeds into the chamber, if that description makes sense.

I love when friends think they dont flinch before pulling the trigger. then I prove em wrong loading a revolver with spent casings.
