This might be bad advice but play music that gets you worked up, this could be bad since you may drive more recklessly but I've found that it helps me alot.

Lots of good advice in here. Reminds me of my first DE.....my instructor asked my experience level? none. He then asked what car I was driving? Dodge Viper. No lie there was a long pause. I think he was reconsidering getting in the car with me. The track was Mid-Ohio, my home track. My hats off to all instructors. Not sure how you can do it, but glad you do. I took it slow, 4 years of DE. And now.........I drive alone 'cause the car only has one seat
